ETH Zurich offers 50 student tickets to Starmus V – a global festival of art, music, and science that brings together the most brilliant minds on the planet to enhance science communication and inspire the next generation of explorers.
The contest launches on Wednesday, 22 May 2019 at 0900hrs. At this time, we will post an email address on this page indicating where to submit your entry. The contest ends once we have received the first 50 entries or on Wednesday, 29 May 2019 (whichever comes sooner). Only current ETH Zurich students with a valid student email address can participate.

How can I win?
Entries must be submitted via email (email to be announced on this page on Wednesday, 22 May 2019 at 09:00hrs. The first 50 persons to submit an entry complying with the description below will win a ticket to the Starmus V Festival a value of CHF500. Only one entry permitted per person and only one ticket awarded to winning entries.
Who can participate?
Participants can enter the contest free of charge. The contest is open only to current ETH Zurich students including: bachelor and master’s degree-seeking students and doctoral students). Entrants must provide accurate information for all fields relevant to the contest.
When does the contest take place?
The contest runs from Wednesday, 22 May 2019 at 09:00hrs until the first 50 entrants are received or until Wednesday, 29 May 2019 at 09:00hrs, whichever comes sooner.
How will winners be determined?
The first 50 confirmed students who have completed the entry requirements accurately will be awarded.
How do I find out if I won?
The winners will receive an email via their ETH Zurich email address. They will be asked to present their ETH Card number as confirmation of their current student status when claiming their prize.
How do I claim my prize?
Winners notified via email, will be asked to claim their prize at the ETH Global office during business hours. Winners must show their ETH Cards and the confirmation email from to claim their Starmus V Festival ticket.
What happens if I don’t claim my prize?
Contestants who do not claim their prize by 17:00hrs on Friday, 14 June 2019 will forfeit their right to the prize. The prize will be awarded at the discretion of the Director, ETH Global.

Privacy policy
Security and satisfaction are the highest priorities. ETH Zurich saves and uses collected data exclusively for the purpose of running the contest.
Personal rights
The photo can show people, but the personal rights of the people in the picture must be respected: Persons included in the image (selfie) must agree to being photographed and having the photo posted ETH Zurich’s ETH Ambassadors’ blog and social media channels.
What content and types of image are prohibited?
All photos must follow ETH Zurich’s rules of netiquette. Users are not allowed to post illegal content, content that has been downloaded from the internet, or content that is

These rules apply to images, text, and any other content.
Use of images
A selection photos and quotes submitted will be posted on the ETH Ambassadors’ blog and/or ETH Zurich’s social media channels.
Who is not eligible to participate?
ETH Zurich is authorized to exclude certain individuals from participating when good reason exists (not abiding by the rules of participation, submitting multiple entries, manipulation etc.). ETH Zurich reserves the right to take legal action.
