The ETH Game Technology Center: Fun is the Future
Fun is the future! Why? Because fun is a key ingredient that can enhance education, advance science, and strengthen cultural connections. The ETH Game Technology Center uses Advanced Game Technologies like Augmented Reality to add layers of playful interaction on top of important human activities. In this setting, games become powerful tools to advance ETH's mission in research, education, and outreach. In this event, we will present the design of the ETH Game Technology Center and our capstone course on game programming and then highlight example projects that use Augmented Reality to add magical interaction onto traditional activities. The presentation will be followed by live demos where you can play student games, interact with paintings in an art exhibition, and explore a toy catalog that comes to life with Augmented Reality.
