Basel location
The Department of Biosystems Science and Engineering (D-BSSE) is located on the left bank of the Rhine, in the heart of the city of Basel.
ETH Zurich works closely with the University of Basel and its hospitals. In many fields, the expertise of the two universities complements each other perfectly. In addition, the close proximity to biochemistry and pharmaceutical companies means that scientists have ideal conditions for carrying out interdisciplinary research projects.
