Cancer is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. Diseased tissue is oftentimes still misdiagnosed due to an obsolete way of examining tissue samples. The workflows used today in clinical practice to analyze tissue samples generate 2D images and are therefore limited in the amount of information they provide.

With our interdisciplinary approach, combining technology from biomedicine and mechanical engineering, we are going to offer clinicians a rapid, automated, and holistic way of detecting diseased tissue in 3D. Our goal is to catch cancer more reliably by providing more information than standard clinical diagnosis approaches in the same amount of time.
