Crop yield prediction from farm to hemisphere.

Enlarged view: Terensis
Our Crop Digital Twin models crop biomass throughout the growing season, enabling crop yield predictions up to two months before harvest.

Globally, up to 30% of harvested crops does not make it to the table. The agri-food-chain providing food from farm to fork is highly complex with many different actors. Information asymmetries between these actors exacerbate inefficient use of resources, threatening food security. One of the biggest information asymmetries in the agri-food-chain is the lack of knowledge on crop yield.

We at Terensis are developing a solution: Our Crop Digital Twin combines satellite images and biophysical models to simulate the development of crops from sowing to harvest – anywhere in the world. Our CDT can predict crop yield up to two months before harvest. Our powerful technology not only enables actors along the agri-food-chain access to actionable insights, but is our contribution to increase the food security for future generations.
