Training for the transport of the future
This year’s European Hyperloop Week is being held in Zurich. Student engineering teams will present their prototypes to a jury and compete against each other in different categories. ETH Zurich is represented with the Swissloop project.
The Swissloop team of students is putting together its final preparations. Things will get serious next week from 15 to 21 July, when the European Hyperloop Week takes place in Zurich – a kind of home fixture for ETH. What does the hyperloop technology comprise?
Hyperloop is a new form of transport still under development comprising vacuum transport. It has the potential in future to replace short and medium-haul flights and significantly reduce CO2 emissions. The market for high-speed forms of transport is a global megatrend that is inevitably set to influence our lives.
