Master Civil Engineering
Resources vital for life, such as soil, water and air, are becoming increasingly scarce on earth. This development is exacerbated by the persistent global trend towards living in urban areas. Society's needs concerning safety, cleanliness and mobility are rising. Our modern society requires reliable, efficient and safe infrastructure.
The Master’s degree programme will enable students to undertake independent practical or scientific professional work as civil engineers and generally lasts four semesters. In the Master’s programme it is possible to focus on two specialist areas from the broad professional civil engineering sector. The curriculum can be tailored to individual interests and aptitudes.
The Master’s curriculum consists of two specialisations, electives (free electives, digital and project-based electives, Science in Perspective), one seminar work in project management, one project work and the master’s thesis. An internship is not required, but is highly recommended.
Attendance of the Master’s degree programme in Civil Engineering presupposes basic knowledge and skills in the disciplines Mathematics, Mechanics, Computer Science and Civil Engineering.
