Master Biochemistry - Chemical Biology
The Master?s degree programme in Biochemistry – Chemical Biology (BCB) is designed to deepen academic knowledge with a focus on experimental scientific work in the areas of chemical biology, biochemistry and organic chemistry and their interfaces with biology, bioanalytics, pharmacy and biomedical fields. The professional and methodological training is supplemented by a choice of general education courses in the humanities, social and political science.
The degree programme presupposes basic knowledge and skills in chemistry, bioche?mis?try, biology, physics, mathematics and statistics as well as in methodological scientific thinking. The education qualifies students for responsible positions in academia, the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, and in public services.

- Electives on biochemical, chemistry, molecular, systems and microbiological topics and molecular analysis
- Semester projects to become familiar with the scientific way of working and to work on a current research topic
- Master?s thesis project (6 months)
