D-MATH: Mathematics
Special considerations / prerequisites
- The target group for this exchange are mathematics students. Applications and study plans are checked against the requirements of our degree programmes in mathematics. This applies in particular to students of related degree programmes such as Statistics, Data Science, Actuarial Science, Economics, Computational Science, etc., who may be rejected if they lack basic knowledge of proof-based mathematics.
- The following applies to the composition of the curriculum: At least 2/3 of the credit points must come from the mathematics programme for higher-semester mathematics students. This includes all courses in the categories “Compulsory courses”, “Compulsory Elective courses”, “Core courses”, “Electives”, “Seminars” of the Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes in Mathematics according to the Course Catalogue as well as any project work. In particular, courses from the “Application area” and courses that are only offered in other degree programmes such as the Statistics, Data Science or Quantitative Finance Master generally do not count towards the 2/3. Exceptions to the 2/3 rule can be approved in consultation with the departmental exchange coordinator.
