Have you ever wondered how you can support your students and your colleagues to solve everyday issues, to help them to grow and to take more responsibility for their own progress? And how to do so in a surprisingly simple and easy way?

In this online program, you will be introduced to an appealing solution-?focused coaching mindset and acquire useful tools to reach your goals. Explore, experiment and learn how to use these practical instruments in this highly interactive course. It’s not rocket science – you can start to use these tools and ideas right away the very next day.

Part 1: Live kick-?off webinar with other participants Duration - 3 hours

Part 2: Four self-?paced online modules, each taking approximately 2 hours to complete:

  • The art of leading a meaningful conversation: The solution-?focused "Brief-?Coaching Model" with its core instrument
  • The art of asking powerful questions: “Ask – don’t tell” demonstrating how this principal creates a framework for progress, self-?confidence and motivation
  • The art of reinforcement: How to improve your impact on others through acknowledgment and appreciation and how this can change one’s individual performance and workplace culture.
  • The art of surfing: Easy to use coaching-?tools to develop greater confidence in difficult situations.

Part 3: Final webinar with other participants Duration - 2 h

  • Get to know the solution-?focused “Brief-?Coaching-Model” in order to lead more effective conversations
  • Explore a new mindset to support others on their learning journey
  • Learn and experiment with practical tools
  • Become more confident and articulate when you lead conversation
  • Discover the power of appreciation and reinforcement
The program starts with a 3-hour webinar, followed by four self-paced learning modules. Each module takes about two hours, including study-buddy meetings. You can learn at your own pace with videos, coaching examples, articles, and practical experiments. The program concludes with a final 2-hour webinar after 8 weeks.

This course is open to all ETH employees.
