The first campaign of the ETH Net Zero programme is dedicated to the precious resources that we consume every day, mostly without realising it. ¡°Resources Are Precious¡± shows us the little things that we can all do to contribute to a resource-conserving and climate-friendly university.

What will it feel like to research, teach, study and work at a climate-neutral ETH Zurich? With the launch of the "ETH net zero" programme, all ETH members are on a major expedition together towards an ambitious goal. The message: "All for zero 2030".

At the end of September, the consultation process for the draft roadmap "ETH Net Zero" came to an end. ETH Sustainability draws a positive conclusion with over 250 participations and around 500 constructive comments and remarks.

The draft roadmap "ETH Net Zero" is available. For the first time, it formulates the system boundaries and target values of ETH Zurich on its way to becoming a climate-friendly university. We invite the ETH members to comment on the roadmap and to help shape and support the path towards net zero: Every contribution counts!

ETH Zurich wants to achieve Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. In order to reach this ambitious goal, an action plan for Net Zero is now being developed in a broad process.

The ETH Week is a new and innovative course designed to foster critical and independent thinking and creative learning. Students from all departments as well as professors and external experts will work together for one week in interdisciplinary teams. They will develop ideas and interventions that could play a role in solving some of our most pressing global challenges.

Universities have the opportunity to create cultures of sustainability for today¡¯s students and tomorrow¡¯s leaders and to set their expectations for a better future.
