Work on the new computing centre on the H?nggerberg (HRZ) is progressing. The foundation stone was laid last Friday, marking the start of construction. ETH Zurich is thus taking a further step towards a modern and energy-efficient IT infrastructure.

The Institute of Molecular Plant Biology is getting a new laboratory on the H?nggerberg. Construction work began this week and should be completed in June 2025

Over the past few months, ETH Zurich has been improving the historical area around the ETH observatory to make it a more attractive place to socialise and find peace and quiet. Other projects, such as the current redevelopment of the main building forecourt, will improve the overall quality of the exterior spaces in the university district.

Save the date: at 10 a.m. on 31 August 2021, Ulrich Weidmann, Vice President for Infrastructure, and representatives from the Real Estate Management department will provide information about the general structural development framework at ETH Zurich and grant insights into ongoing and upcoming major construction projects at various ETH locations.

With its new building on the Gloriarank site (GLC), ETH Zurich is creating a modern development and laboratory building for Health Sciences and Technology at its Zentrum campus. The site will house 13 professorships from the HEST and ITET departments. But with building works delayed, they will have to wait a little longer. ETH expects operations to begin there in 2022.

Construction work on the main building will be underway from June 2021. The parking garage under the forecourt will be upgraded with a modern infrastructure and made more open and accessible. The main building forecourt will be getting a makeover. The layout on the ground will be more versatile and offer barrier-free access.

Yesterday, ETH Zurich and the team of architects, building planners and construction managers involved in the project attended the ground-breaking ceremony for the HIF renovation and extension project at 2024Å·ÖÞ±­¿ª»§_Å·ÖÞ±­APPÏÂÔØ-Ͷע|¹ÙÍø H?nggerberg. The event marks the beginning of the upgrade and renovation project at one of the largest building complexes on the campus. It will also be the home of the Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering.

The planning method BIM, building information modelling, has wide-ranging capabilities, and its role in creation of the HI distribution centre for the Anergy grid on the H?nggerberg campus is all about sustainability.
