Zoom can be used until the end of the year

In mid-March thousands of courses and other meetings had to be moved to the virtual room: Zoom proved to be fully functional to accomplish this task without any significant technical bottlenecks or problems. However, the data security and privacy aspects were critically discussed. Zoom made appropriate adjustments, and the Data Protection Office of the Canton of Zurich granted permission for use during the Corona crisis. However, the further use of Zoom is still subject to approval.

At the request of the IT Services, the Executive Board regulated the use of collaboration tools as follows on 8.7.2020: Zoom can be used until the end of 2020 and meetings with confidential content may also be held via teams and Zoom during the Corona crisis. In Q4 2020 the Executive Board will make a new decision on the further use.
