Without an existing read & publish agreement with the publisher Oxford University Press (OUP), it is possible that articles which have not been published as open-access articles in the current year 2022 will soon be only available if ordered. Access to articles published by the end of 2021 will continue to work as usual.
For the time being, you can access OUP journals as usual. As soon as access is no longer available, you can order current articles from an OUP Download journal (XLSX, 80 KB) from our website until further notice. The ETH Library covers the costs for members of ETH Zurich. Please note that prior registration for swisscovery is necessary.
To find open-access articles in OUP journals and those of other publishers more easily, it is best to alternatively use the free browser extensions of external page www.unpaywall.org, external page www.openaccessbutton.org as well as LibKey Nomad and Google Scholar, or you can contact the author directly.
The Consortium of Swiss Academic Libraries negotiated with OUP in accordance with the external page swissuniversities guidelines. The negotiating parties were unable to agree on the terms for a transformative read & publish licence from 2022.
It was possible to reach agreements with numerous other publishers that allow members of ETH Zurich to read and publish in their journals without further costs.
