Volunteer at Scientifica and go behind the scenes
Scientifica is looking for helping hands on the weekend of 2 – 3 September. Anyone keen to be part of Switzerland’s largest science festival is very welcome to come along.
On the weekend of 2 – 3 September ETH and the University of Zurich will once again be welcoming thousands of visitors to Scientifica. The public will be able to enjoy an exhibition with over 60 booths, just as many short lectures and panel discussions, and more than 150 workshops, guided tours and shows spread across three locations: Zentrum, Irchel and H?nggerberg campuses. Some 1,000 researchers from both universities will be on site over the weekend.
To make sure visitors can find their way around and get tickets for the popular events, we once again need dozens of volunteers to help out on site. We have already recruited around 50 students, but we also rely on university staff and interested persons who are willing to help, whether it be at the information desk, ticket desk or controlling access to popular events.
We would love to hear from anyone interested in seeing behind the scenes of Scientifica for a half day or full day. Although we are unable to pay a wage for the event, all helpers will be invited to a thank-you party in September.
