Newly designed info portal for ETH employees
“Services & Resources” has become “Staffnet”: As of today, there’s a newly designed website to ensure that ETH employees start their day with the most up-to-date information.
This year, Corporate Communications is continuing to expand internal communications (read more in this article). One of its first measures for the year, “Staffnet”, launches today: on this newly designed portal page, ETH employees will find an overview of all the key information about what’s going on at our university. Staffnet replaces the previous employee portal "Services & Resources".
The tried and tested content from this old portal site remains, such as the latest articles from the Internal news or ETH News, but also links to the current lunch menu or the Corona website. In addition, you will find information on exciting events, service offers for employees and a selection of links to regularly accessed pages. With a visit to Staffnet, ETH employees can now start their working day well informed.
Set Staffnet as your browser homepage
With a new design and regular updates, Staffnet is a browser homepage for all employees who want to know what’s going on at ETH on a daily basis. For example, news that appears on the ETH homepage can also be accessed on Staffnet. You can read how easy it is to customise your web browser’s homepage in these Tips and Tricks.
Background
Some of the reasons for making the switch from Services & Resources to Staffnet emerged from the survey on internal communication that Corporate Communications conducted last year. 43 percent of participants said they would like to see more information on the range of services on offer. Just under one-third said they would also like to see more event information and reports on what’s currently happening on campus.
The new website was designed to meet these wishes. Meanwhile, the portal’s new name makes it clear that it is aimed primarily at employees. For now, the URL is staying the same – ethz.ch/services – but this will soon be switched to ethz.ch/staffnet.
